Greetings from Virginia

Wow! I haven't posted anything for over a month. And it's not because I didn't have time. This past month has been one of the craziest of my entire life. I am living in a totally different part of the country. New state, new culture, new lifestyle. New EVERYTHING. I can't even begin to list the differences between our life in Indy and our life in Alexandria. My heart is still in Indianapolis, and I'm waiting for it to show up here.

For the sixth time in our married lives we have moved. The first five times we were unpacked, with pictures on the walls, ready to go, in a few days. This time I still have no idea where several things are, I have several corners full of pictures and decorations, and I don't really care :).

This past month has been spent sleeping in, crying, trying new recipes, driving around aimlessly trying to figure out where everything is, sight seeing, getting lost, decorating two extra bathrooms that I never had, and hanging out all day with two cute puppies! My proudest moment was when I rode the metro to downtown DC all by myself! That's right people, you heard it here! It was a huge accomplishment for me. I just didn't make eye contact and acted like I had done this a hundred times before. :)

I am happy to report Bryan LOVES his job. Of course, I am so happy for him. It is very evident he is working in a wonderful firm for some incredible people. And it seems that they are all very pleased with Bryan's work and already love him. Who wouldn't? Through all those years of school, I just knew that he would be an amazing attorney. And God has truly blessed us. It's just unheard of for an Indy graduate to get such a prestigious position within six months of graduating. I believe it is because of Bryan's faithfulness all throughout school. He never missed a service or soulwinning because of school. I still don't know how he did it, but I am truly thankful for a husband who puts God first.

Just a week until we go home! And by "home" I mean, Louisville and Indianapolis. We have two families now. By blood and by choice. I forsee a lot of hugs in my near future! I absolutely cannot wait!

I am not working now, which is a dream come true, but I never thought it would happen this way. It's just so weird for me. I am still adjusting to this new lifestyle. Sleeping till whenever, trying new recipes, playing with the dogs, working out, shopping, pinning...it's just weird.

I am working on getting a schedule going, and blogging will be on that new schedule. So stay tuned....
